About Guaranteed Admission/关于承诺录取:
No matter for self-funded student or scholarship student, we DO NOT promise guarantee admission to any school for any student that want to apply. It is not that we do not want to provide guaranteed admission or bear the corresponding responsibilities, it’s because of that after more than ten years of operation, we found that this is simply impractical. Especially under the current admission mechanism of Chinese universities, whether a student can be admitted is usually decided by a committee composed of several teachers and leaders, and whether he or she can finally come to China is also decided by multiple departments of the Chinese government. Therefore, even a verbal promise made by a Chinese university teacher or leader may sometimes change. In this case, we cannot promise guaranteed admission to students, and we also hope that our partners will NOT promise guaranteed admission. During the consultation stage of students, you need to clearly inform students of all the possible consequences they may face, so that students can be well prepared accordingly. They can apply to 2-3 universities at the same time to increase the chances of being admitted, so as to avoid more serious problems.

About Students Under 18/未满18岁学生相关问题:
In recent years, Chinese universities have raised more and more requirements for applicants under the age of 18. Currently almost all universities require applicants under the age of 18 to find a guardian in China and provide relevant notarized documents related to the guardian(some universities may not request certain documents during the application stage but will require admitted students to provide them before coming to China), which will incur additional fees. In addition, some schools have begun to explicitly state that they will not accept students under the age of 18 (some universities’ policies regarding to applicants under the age of 18 can be found here). If you want CUCAS to provide guardianship services, each applicant will need to pay an additional $300 for each university they apply to (Learn about CUCAS guardianship services).

Please note that students under 18 face many uncertainties not only during the application process but also after arriving in China. For example, procedures such as obtaining a mobile SIM card or opening a bank account often require the presence of a legal guardian, which can incur additional time and costs. Therefore, we strongly recommend that students apply to Chinese universities after reaching the age of 18.

About Ethnic Chinese Students/华裔学生相关问题:
In order to prevent college entrance examination immigration, Chinese universities are getting more strict about Ethnic Chinese students applying to Chinese universities. We are willing to help Ethnic Chinese students apply to Chinese universities, but Ethnic Chinese students must meet the relevant national requirements, which usually require that students cannot have Chinese nationality, have obtained foreign nationality for more than 4 years, and have actually lived in other countries outside of China for more than 2 years in the past 4 years (Learn more about relevant policies). If the applicant does not meet the relevant conditions, he/she will not be able to apply to Chinese universities as an international student.

About Students in China/在华学生相关问题:
We understand that some students want to stay in China and change to another university after studying in China for a period of time to continue their study, but China's policies may be different from other countries, and there will be some certain risks in the actual operation process, because the duration of the student's residence permit is consistent with the duration of study. Each university only helps students obtain a residence permit during their on-campus study. When students want to change universities, there is usually a transition period of several months between the end of the first university and the start of the new university, and students do not have a residence permit during this transition period. If you apply for a T(stay visa) visa, the new university may not be able to help students to change the T visa to an X visa (student visa), which means that there is a certain probability that students still need to leave China. However, if the new university is willing to help students to extend their residence permits in advance, students do not need to leave China, but the premise of this situation is that someone has fully communicated with the new school and the students have been admitted to the new school in time. Therefore, do not promise students at the beginning that if they want to change universities they do not have to leave China during the process.

About Commission/关于佣金:
Only by recommending self-funded students you can earn commissions through some universities, and recommending scholarship students will not earn commissions. We recommend all partners to submit applications through the iAgent platform, because the platform allows you to view the exact commission amount for each program. Before submitting an application, you can see the commission you can get after the student is accepted and paid the full tuition. After you submitted an application, the commission amount for the application will not change due to policy changes, and the iAgent platform supports commission settlement. If you submit an application through other methods, the commission may be inaccurate.

Best Time to Apply/最佳申请时间:
Most Chinese universities only offer autumn intake, which usually start in September, and the best time to submit applications is January-March; some universities offer spring semester programs, which usually start in March, and the best time to submit applications is September-November. Students submitting applications early may help with scholarship applications, but this does not mean that the earlier you submit, the earlier you will get the admission result. Chinese universities will review students' applications according to their own work plans and the order they set, so please do not promise students that they will definitely get the admission result in advance if they submit early.

If you are applying for a master's or doctoral program, you need to start applying earlier because you need to contact supervisors to get a letter of acceptance.

Please note that the application submission completion time refers to the time when the student submitted all the required application materials completely. Submitting part of documents does not count as "application already submitted". Collecting all the required documents and submit them in a timely manner is very important to your students’ applications.

If you choose to submit an application through our consultant, you will need to provide more information in many sections, especially for payment. For example, if you pay our service fee through Payease, you will need to provide the cardholder's name, if you pay through Alipay, you need to provide the order number, if you pay through WooshPay, you need to provide the payer's email address filled in the payment page, etc., so that we can confirm your payment.

Document Translation and Notarization/文件翻译与公证:
More and more provinces (such as Liaoning Province in 2024) are beginning to require foreign students to translate their diplomas and transcripts that are not in English or Chinese into Chinese, and then notarize the documents and certify them at the Chinese embassy/consulate in the student's country (Apostille is available in countries that have joined the Hague Convention), and some universities also require students to mail those documents to China. Translation and notarization/certification processes require longer preparation time and additional costs, so please inform your students to prepare the relevant documents in advance. When you submit an application yourself or through our consultant, our service team will review all application documents. Applications with qualified documents will be submitted to the Chinese university as soon as possible during the university's application processing period. Then you will receive an email about the application status change. If the documents are not qualified, our team will contact you by email until the documents are qualified and completed.

Incomplete documents and application form will seriously affect the application processing cycle of students. When collecting studens’ documents, please follow the document list prompts on the corresponding course page of CUCAS, try to collect complete and standard materials, and let students fill in each item in the application form before submitting, so that the application can be processed as quickly as possible, otherwise the application processing cycle will be longer.

The Importance of Authentic and Complete Application Documents/申请材料真实和完整的重要性
CUCAS maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward fraudulent application documents. The document review team has full authority to assess all submissions. Any falsified materials will be rejected, and in severe cases, may result in termination of cooperation or account suspension. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact us for clarification, but please do not attempt to communicate through consultants or other leaders, as this will only waste your time.

We understand that you may be busy and wish to submit your current application documents to CUCAS as soon as possible, which is ok; however, please be aware that submitting incomplete materials may save you time initially, but often requires significantly more time afterward. Each incomplete document must be re-collected and resubmitted, which leads to multiple rounds of communication. When both parties are busy, each round of communication may experience delays. This not only consumes a considerable amount of additional time for both sides but may also negatively affect the outcome of your application. We are not responsible for any issues or consequences arising from incomplete or fraudulent application materials.

Please also note that we will not submit your application to the university before your materials are complete. Doing so will not help your application and may even create a negative impression with the university, which could be counterproductive.

The "Submit By Student" function allows your students to fill out the application form and upload the application documents on their own, and then you can help them to submit the application, which can dramatically reduce the time that you need to spend. Ways to Get Application Status Updates/获得申请状态更新的方式:
You can get notifications of application status changes via email. In order to further facilitate our partners to receive timely notifications, you can also get WeChat push notifications by following the WeChat public account on the top bar after logging in to iAgent system, you can receive SMS notifications after binding your mobile number in Settings -> Edit Information. You can also download CUCAS Messenger App to get App push notifications. You can choose different methods according to your preferences, but email is the most basic notification method. Please check our emails in time.

Online Interview/在线面试环节:
More and more universities started to set up online interview in the application process. Most universities conduct online interviews through Voov Meeting, we are trying our best to confirm every detail so that you know what to expect in advance during the application process. When you see a section titled "Special Requirements" on the program page, it means that this school and this program have special requirements in the application process. When you see an interview requirement, you can inform students in advance so that they can prepare(Download and learn how to use Voov Meeting). And pay attention to the interview notice we send you, inform students in time, and let them attend the interview on time.

Online Exam/在线考试环节:
Starting from 2025, most Chinese universities will conduct CSCA online examinations for applicants for undergraduate programs. Those who fail the examination may need to take preparatory courses before entering the undergraduate stage. We will also remind you in the "Special Requirements" section of the program page, and you will receive notifications about relevant examinations through us.

Allow students to take mock test through CUCAS/通过CUCAS让学生进行模拟考试:
In order to help foreign students better understand the difficulty of Chinese exams, we have built a mock exam platform. Currently, there are thousands of test questions for students to take mock tests. This feature has been launched on the undergraduate programs pages already. You can click the "Entrance Exam Mock Test" button to let students take mock tests to understand the approximate difficulty of the exam. Tuition Deposit/学费押金环节:
Some universities will require students to pay a deposit or full tuition within a specified period of time after being admitted to reserve their places (scholarship students also need to pay, and the fees paid will be refunded after the students arrived or used for other expenses not covered by the scholarship). We will also try to confirm this in advance and indicate it in the "Special Requirements" section of the program page, and notify you when the school requires payment, so that you can inform the students in time.
一些学校会要求学生在被录取后的一段指定时间内支付押金或者全额学费从而保留录取名额(奖学金生也需要支付, 支付的费用会在学生到校后进行退还或用于其他奖学金未覆盖的费用), 我们同样会尽量提前确认好, 并且在课程页面的”Special Requirements”部分中进行提示, 并且在学校要求支付时通知您, 方便您及时告知学生.
Important Notes/重要提示:
*Receiving a deposit payment notice does not mean that you have been officially admitted. If the university receives a large number of deposit or tuition payments within a short period of time, the number of admitted students may exceed its enrollment quota. In such cases, the university will contact the student to arrange a refund and cancel the admission.
*当你获得押金支付通知时并不代表学生已经获得最终的录取,当学校短时间内收到很多申请者支付押金或学费时, 有可能录取学生超出了他们的招生计划, 那时大学会联系学生进行退款并取消录取.
*When paying the deposit or tuition fee, you must ensure that the correct amount is transferred in a timely manner, using the proper exchange rate, to the university’s designated account in the corresponding currency. If anything is unclear, please contact us immediately to avoid potential issues later on.

*After completing the payment, please send us the payment receipt as soon as possible to help expedite the university’s processing. If you are unable to make the payment within three days after receiving the payment notice, or if the payment deadline has already passed, please contact us first to confirm whether the university will still accept the payment. Only proceed with the transfer after receiving our confirmation to avoid potential issues.
*支付完成后请第一时间将支付凭据发给我们从而加快学校处理速度, 如果你在收到缴费通知后没能在3天内进行支付或已经过了通知的截止日期, 请先和我们联系确认大学是否还接受付款, 得到我们的确认后再支付从而避免后续问题.
Deliver University Notices to Students/传递学校的通知给学生:
As a service provider, we have the obligation to deliver university’s notifications to students in a timely manner before they are enrolled. During this process, we will receive some notifications, such as the above-mentioned notifications to students to join the WeChat group, deposit payment notifications, registration guides, notes, advance online registration (so that Chinese universities will record the students who have completed registration in the system, and the students will enter the school gate easily and the registration process will be more convenient). We will send you relevant notifications in a timely manner. Please be sure to check and deliver information to relevant students in time. This is part of our work. These notifications are very important. If the notifications are not delivered to students in time, it will also have a great impact on the students.

We are willing to provide you with guidance during the application process; however, please note that the majority of information and advice comes directly from university staff. There may be times when we do not have relevant references or suggestions. While we will do our best to recommend you to the university, we may not be able to influence the university’s final decision.

Obtain Admission Documents/获得录取文件:
When your student is admitted by a Chinese university, you will receive an admission letter and visa form from us (for students whose programs are longer than 180 days: JW202 form; for students whose courses are shorter than 180 days: DQ form; for some Chinese government scholarship recipients: JW201 form). Currently, most universities have started to send electronic documents. We will send them to you via email, please check email in time. If the university send paper documents, we will mail them to you via DHL or other services.
当您的学生被中国大学录取后, 您将收到我们发送的录取通知书和签证表格(针对课程在180天以上的学生: JW202表; 针对课程在180天以下的学生: DQ表; 针对部分中国政府奖学金获得者: JW201表). 目前绝大多数大学都开始发送电子文件, 我们将通过邮件发送给您, 请您注意查收. 如果学校发送的是纸质文件, 我们将通过DHL或其他服务邮寄给您.
Please note that if you have only received the admission email or admission notice, but have not yet obtained the DQ/JW202/JW201 form, this does not mean you are finally cleared to study in China. The relevant authorities still need to review your DQ/JW202/JW201 form. Only when you have received both the admission notice and the DQ/JW202/JW201 form does it officially confirm that you are eligible to come to China for your studies.
请注意如果您只获得了录取通知的邮件或者录取通知书, 而尚未获得DQ/JW202/JW201表, 这仍然不代表你最终确定可以来中国了, 因为还需要等待相关部门针对您DQ/JW202/JW201表的审核结果, 只有当您获得了录取通知书和DQ/JW202/JW201表的时候, 才最终代表您可以来中国上学了.
Visa Application/办理签证:
After receiving the admission letter and visa form, students can apply for a student visa (for students whose programs are longer than 180 days: X1 visa; for students whose courses are shorter than 180 days: X2 visa. Other types of visas cannot be used to study in China, and Chinese universities cannot help students with other types of visas to obtain residence permits after they entered the country) and come to China to study (see more tips about visa).
在获得录取通知书和签证表后, 学生即可办理学生签证(针对课程在180天以上的学生: X1签证; 针对课程在180天以下的学生: X2签证. 其他类型的签证不可以用于来华留学, 持其他类型签证的学生入境后中国大学无法帮住他们获得居留许可), 来中国上学(查看一些关于签证的Tips).
The study visa (X visa) is generally valid for 3 months. If you receive your admission materials well in advance—for example, five to six months before your program begins—please submit your visa application at a time that aligns with both your university’s registration date and the processing time required by the local embassy. This will help prevent your visa from expiring before you enter China.
学习签证(X签证)通常有效期为3个月. 如果您较早收到录取材料，例如在开学前五到六个月, 请根据学校要求的注册日期以及当地使领馆的办理时间, 选择合适的时间提交签证申请. 这将有助于避免签证在入境中国前过期的风险.
Provide information on student visa application/提供学生办理签证的信息:
When your student is accepted, our system will send an email to remind the student to fill in the visa application information, such as at which city’s Chinese embassy/consulate in the country that the student will go to to apply for a visa. Chinese universities need this information, and they will contact the corresponding embassy/consulate in advance to prove that your student has been admitted, so that the student can apply for a visa. Please pay attention to the email and provide accurate information in time so that the student can obtain a visa.
当您的学生被录取后, 我们的系统将发送邮件提醒学生填写办理签证的信息, 比如学生将去所在国哪个城市的中国大使/领馆办理签证, 中国大学需要这些信息, 他们会提前联系相应的使/领馆, 证明您的学生已经被录取, 这样学生才可以办理签证, 请您留意邮件, 及时提供准确的信息, 以便学生获得签证.
Pay Attention to the Registration Time/注意注册报到时间:
Please check the registration time on the admission letter carefully and avoid arriving at school outside the registration time. During the registration period, avoid arriving at school at night, on weekends (the usual working hours of Chinese universities are: Monday to Friday. 08:30 – 16:30) or on holidays, otherwise you may not be able to check in dorm and register, and students will have to solve accommodation and other problems by themselves.
请认真查看录取通知书上的注册报到时间, 避免在注册报到时间之外到校; 在注册报到期间内, 避免在夜晚, 周末(中国大学通常的工作时间: 周一至周五. 08:30 – 16:30 )或节假日到达学校, 否则有可能无法办理宿舍入住和进行注册, 学生将不得不自己解决住宿等问题.
We understand that air ticket prices may change greatly and students tend to buy more affordable tickets, but Chinese universities have relevant regulations, and the registration process usually requires the cooperation of multiple departments, so it can only be carried out during the specified registration period. If there are special cases, you can contact admission1@cucas.cn and explain the reasons, we will try our best to help communicate, but sometimes we cannot influence the university's decision.
我们理解机票价格波动较大, 学生倾向于购买便宜的机票, 但中国大学有相关的规定, 且注册流程通常需要多个部门协作, 因此只能在规定的注册报到期间内进行, 如有极特殊情况您可以联系admission1@cucas.cn, 说明原因, 我们将尽力帮助沟通, 但很可能无法改变学校的决定.
In addition/另外:
*The student visa students got is only valid for 30 days after entering China, and they need to obtain a residence permit with the help of the university. If they enter China in advance, they may not be able to apply for a residence permit in time, and they have to leave the country, wait longer to re-apply for relevant documents, or even be forced to give up their studies.
*学生所获得的学生签证在入境中国后有效期只有30天, 需要在学校的帮助下获得居留许可. 如果提前进入中国, 可能导致无法及时办理居留许可, 被迫出境, 等待更长时间重新办理相关材料, 甚至被迫放弃学业.
If students enter China in advance, they need to go to the local police station to register for foreigners' accommodation info within 24 hours after entering China, otherwise there will be certain impacts.
如果学生提前进入中国, 在入境后的24小时内需要去当地的警察局办理外国人住宿登记, 否则将受到一定的影响.
Therefore, registering at the designated time can help students to avoid a lot of troubles.
因此在指定时间注册报到可以让学生避免很多麻烦.
Join WeChat/DingTalk Group/进微信/钉钉群:
More and more universities require admitted students to join the relevant WeChat/DingTalk groups before coming to China, we will notify you about it in time. Please ask students to download WeChat or DingTalk and join the corresponding groups. This will also make it convenient for students to receive relevant notifications in the first place. At the same time, students can also contact us to join the corresponding alumni groups we have created.
越来越多的大学要求被录取的学生在来中国之前进入相关的微信/钉钉群, 我们会及时通知您, 到时请让学生下载微信或钉钉并且进入相应群组, 这样也可以方便学生第一时间获得相应的通知. 同时学生也可以联系我们进入相应的我们创建的校友群.
Things Can Not Do in China/在中国不能做的事情:
Due to cultural and legal differences, some students may have some misunderstandings and think that some things are allowed in China, such as drinking alcohol or smoking marijuana on campus. Chinese universities usually inform students of relevant laws and university regulatons when they are enrolled, and students must abide by them carefully. We have also listed some common mistakes international students may make, you can also inform students before they come to China to help them avoid some problems.

Transfer Policy/调剂政策:
When students are not admitted to a Chinese university, we can help them transfer and apply to another university if they meet the requirements. We will contact you to discuss the new university options. If there is a service fee difference, students only need to pay the difference (Learn More).
当学生未能被中国大学录取时, 在符合条件的情况下, 我们可以帮助学生调剂, 申请另外一所大学, 我们会联系您并沟通新的学校选项. 如有服务费差价学生仅需支付差价(了解更多).
Refund Policy/退款政策:
For self-funded programs, since our service fee is already low, we generally do not refund students if they are not admitted. For some scholarship programs, we provide transfer or partial refund options if they meet the conditions. Students can choose one of the two options (Learn More).
自费课程由于我们的服务费金额已经较低, 所以一般情况下在学生未被录取的时候我们不进行退款. 针对部分奖学金课程, 在符合条件的情况下我们提供调剂或部分退款选项, 学生可以选择调剂或者部分退款其中之一(了解更多).
Delayed Application Policy延后申请政策:
If for some reason a student wishes to defer their application to the following year, we can help them to do so if they meet the requirements(Learn More).
如果因为一些原因, 学生希望推迟申请至第二年, 在符合条件的情况下我们也可以帮助学生推迟申请(了解更多).
Understand Accommodation Policies/了解住宿政策:
If the university does not charge and allows accommodation reservations, we will help students make accommodation reservations for free. You can find the accommodation reservation link behind the admitted application record in the iAgent dashboard to submit your student's accommodation intention (if there is no such link, it means that the university doesn’t allow accommodation reservations), and make reservations. Please do it in time, or keep in close communication with accommodation@cucas.cn, for example, communicate accommodation-related matters right after the student is admitted.

Chinese universities have different dormitory policies. Some universities can reserve in advance, while others may adopt other policies like: unified arrangements by university, first-come-first-served, or no dormitories. We try our best to confirm the accommodation policies. You can find the corresponding policies in the university's Accommodation column on school.cucas.cn, or contact accommodation@cucas.cn or our consultants.
中国大学的宿舍政策各不相同, 有的可以提前预定, 还有其他情况如: 学校统一安排, 先到先得, 不提供宿舍等, 我们在尽力确认住宿相关政策, 您可在school.cucas.cn中, 大学的Accommodation栏目中看到相应政策, 也可以咨询accommodation@cucas.cn或者咨询顾问.
But please understand that dormitories are not guaranteed. Do not over-promise students in advance, and please inform students of the situation truthfully to avoid problems later.
但请了解宿舍不是保证的. 不要过度超前承诺学生, 请如实告知学生情况, 避免后续遇到问题.
Off-Campus Housing/校外租房:
Most schools don’t encourage international students to rent outside of the campus (except when the university does not provide dormitories), because students may face more problems outside of their studies. If students want to rent outside, the general process is that after arriving at school, the students need to communicate with teachers face to face and submit a written application, if that application is approved, then they can rent outside of the campus.
大部分学校不鼓励留学生在校外租房(学校不提供宿舍的情况除外), 因为那样学生可能面临更多学业之外的问题. 如学生希望校外租房, 一般流程为到校后学生和老师当面沟通并提出书面的申请, 如果获得批准则可以在校外租房.
Price/价格:
We can provide airport pick-up service for students in different cities. The general service fee is 100 USD/person when the airport and university is in the same city, If they are not in the same city or the distance is too far, we will quote separately. In addition to arranging vehicles to pick up students, we will also communicate with the school to help students confirm the corresponding arrangements after arriving at university on the day. At the same time, we have also developed CUCAS Campus Ambassadors in more and more cities. If the university that admits your student has our campus ambassadors, there will also be people who speak English to pick up the student at the airport.

Our staff or campus ambassadors can also provide registration assistance services to students from some universities, helping students complete the registration process. The service fee is US$100 per person.
我们的员工或校园大使也可为部分大学的学生提供注册报到帮助的服务, 帮助学生完成注册报到的流程, 服务费用为100美金/人.

Since we are currently unable to provide registration services for students from every school, if you would like to make a reservation, please contact care@cucas.cn in advance.

How to Settle/如何结算:
If all your applications are submitted online through the iAgent platform, you can submit them for settlement in the "Settle Commission" section of the left navigation bar.

Our Service Scope/我们的服务范围:
Our service ranges from consultation to students receiving admission results/documents, or until the registration service is completed if airport pick-up and registration services are booked. Requests that are not related to applying to Chinese universities or that exceed the above time frame are not within the scope of our service. We are willing to assist as much as possible based on the principle of helping students and providing good services, but please understand that we may not be able to meet requests that are outside the scope of our service.
